Beltran is Creaky

I was very happy to see LosB back in action and immediately serve a single to right for his first hit in his first AB. Everyone is saying how great he looks but all told Beltran looked creaky to me. Yeah he rounded third and slide home ahead of the tag but he just looks less Beltran-ish than I’m used to.

His effortless gait isn’t there. Carlos proclaimed himself about 80% which is good since he’s got room for great improvement. Then again it’s a far cry from 100% and we all know Carlos’ game falls off when his legs are less than perfect.

Unfortunately I suspect we’re gonna have a more diminished Beltran than we’re all hoping for.  mean why else would he walk away from Center?

I love watching Lucas Duda hit bombs. I’m hoping he gets AB’s once Beltran and Bay hit the DL.

It feels good to see Mookie back in the Met family again - but to see Wilson with the number 53 on his back ain’t right.

Camptown ladies sing dis song, Doo-dah! doo-dah!

Was at the game yesterday. An all time attendance record was set in PSL with 7413 there. The Red Sox fans were pissed as they only brought one starter to the game and they lost. Duda’s home run was a blast.

Great to beat the Red Sox anytime. Brings back fond memories of 1986!

Great to see Ike connect also! Looks like Murph has taken a slight edge in the 2nd base race.

Agreed on Beltran! We was most surprised that Chip Hale was waving him home and I am glad Chip did. No time like the present.

As always its still about the pitching!

True LosB is gonna need to get some regular rest I’d I bet the over on his time on the DL…but honestly, it’s more likely that Pagan will hit the DL over Bay.

Going back to 04 (the first 24 games he played in the Minors) excluding last year, Bay has played at least 145 games a year.

Angel has hit the DL his first two years here and even missed time last year with back issues.

To be far to both players, both have spent the majority of their time on the DL because of injuries caused by hard play, not because they’re soft.

Well Irish Mike got to give his kudos to BMF before me, so kudos to Irish Mike.

    ^this.

If there’s one thing we all should be able to talk about fairly, rationally, statistically, without bias, it’s how much each player has been on the DL, wouldn’t you think? Oh well. And this could be the year Wright finally goes there, instead of just spending his slump wanting to go there.
I think Lippy Lip is on the DL.
