What do Heath and Ike Davis have in common?

They’re both batting around .100 and Heath looks like he might be in danger of picking up valley fever in his new environs.

  2. MickeyJay Says:

Are you in the Ozarks?? Don’t let them get into you, how will we know more about the Mets future??

Valdespin is like a very poor man’s Ricky Henderson. Or another Timo Perez.

    Keep the rants coming

Thought Gee looked pretty good last night, basically. But Howard had three HRs against him in 11 ABs going in, and now it’s 4 in 12. You think Gee would get the message at some point.
Looking forward to seeing Marcum today.

    the Dude,

At least Ike knocks a few out of the park.

This guy’s laying down bunts and pulling himself out of the game to maintain that .100 average!

I miss the BMF of yesteryear…

Really guys? I am convinced you don’t know funny. What was your favorite TV show ….Small Wonder? Were stuck at home Friday nights while the cool kids were out partying?

Heath is a gift to you.

  7. IrishMike Says:

Worse that the videos is this shill guy (presumably Heath or his buddy) who comes on here saying how great they are. And insults everyone in the process.

  8. AJW Says:

Yes Heath is a gift all right, a plaid shirt with a butterfly collar and a pair of Zips.

  9. Heath Says:

Awwwww. Are these not funny enough for you little boys? I’d use a rant to flame you as trolls who don’t contribute anything of their own other than poorly worded criticisms, but… nah. I’ll just do 2 minutes on the time Jim Tatum murdered a hooker in Port St. Lucie. Thanks for stopping by!

  10. AJW Says:

I hear that Bobby Valentine is going to replace Heath, rant on Bobby.

life is about change and evolving new ways of expression and i realize that there isn’t much i can do regarding the BMF’s new format However i can say that i really enjoyed the opportunity of reading the opinions of many other Met Fans and kind of getting to know a lot of people. I certainly enjoyed being able to express my opinons. I miss that, and i’m wondering about my former fellow posters. what are your feelings regarding the new BMF new format?

  12. the dude formerly known as bill l. Says:

foxster: it is what it is, right? Back when BMF had the time to get the ball rolling each day with his thoughts that was great, and it got people going with comments. The comments often/usually diverged from BMF’s original post pretty quickly and then it was just a bunch of us having a conversation on the discussion board. Since Adam has left the discussion board open, we could still have the same discussions as in previous seasons, but instead of his posts being the starting point it is up to us to start the conversation ourselves. Seems doable to me, anyway.

Hey, how many times are we going to let Ryan Howard beat us in one series?

And Small Wonder was a gem. Crazy little girl robot hijinx.

    get me google translate!

  16. Fort Greene Met Fan Says:

BMF, what if we had some sort of rotating cast of regulars to start of the convo? It could just be every few days, and it wouldn’t have to be lengthy. But at least it would be about the games.

I mean, just kick it off with a sentence or two about Sandy Alderson needing to get us some help in the pen! I bet people have plenty to say on that subject.

We all miss you and your voice!

  17. foxster Says:

to semi-quote former Prez Bill Clinton when he was tangled in the Monica Lewinski messl “it depends on what the defination of IS, is”. I didn’t run down the new BMF Format or anyone who subscribes to it. i said that I enjoyed the previous format, and that maybe for me anyway, old dogs had problems with new tricks, and i wondered what the opinion of the BMF “old timers” towards the new format.
it just seemed to me, that there far fewer posts from us “old timers”. (tongue in cheek observation) there was a post fom our old pal “Bill” in which was named a large bunch of “old timers” that “old Pal Bill” wondered where they were.

while we’re on the subject, the 2013 edition of the Mets are what they is also. they win once or twice and then revert to form and lose a bunch, we’re in a rebuilding phase, right?

  18. Met_Maven Says:

FGMF I agree 100% The “Heath Report” has left much to be desired. I know change is inevitable, but these vlogs dont seem to fit the BMF site. However, if having a rotating cast to start the ball rolling is too much, just let us have an open thread for each series or home stand / road trip to comment on.

It seems to me a bit much to let Harvey go 121 pitches tonight. No way he’s getting past the sixth here, so what was the point of stretching him out so much?

  20. the dude formerly known as bill l. Says:

That was just brutal. 5 hours, 31 minutes. Ugh.
