“The concept is simple: short Video rants from an elite team of the funniest, angriest, most entertaining die-hard Met fans out there.”

  2. Maceo Says:

You are the kind of troll that made Beltran want to stay in the dugout instead of taking a curtain call. 0-1.

  3. FL Met Fan Rich Says:

Throw a change up and let’s hear from someone else.

Mets off to a better then expected start so far. Lets not get crazy though as it has been bottom feeders coming into town.

    Whose next after the Marlins?….HOUSTON?

  4. Mickey Jay Says:

Cheers Maceo! Athens if you got nothing nice to say, don’t say it. You little bitch. Oh! See how it works? Now I’m getting mean too.

Oh Mets. Good pitching but short two serious bats.

  5. Helix Says:

Word up all my brother (and sister) Met fans. Gotta’ confess, I’ve been creepin’ the site for the last year or so but was so dejected, I didn’t have much nice to say.

Very pleased with our start thus far… sole possession of 3rd place at only 1 game back. Certainly better off than our cross-town nemesis gussying up the basement of the AL East.

Love John Buck… Newsday did a piece on his helmet art; seems like a solid player with a real sense of New York and a love for the Big Apple.

OK, here’s my gripe: What’s up with the new Met uniforms? The color combination on the cap alone is laughable. What ever happened to tradition in a game steeped in it? When a team tries to distract its fans by changing up its uniforms, that just smacks of desperation. Besides, the new look looks like shiite.

    Peace out!

  6. Mickey Jay Says:

Yes! Totally upset that the Mets brass always look to capitalize on the $$$ new uniform colors and patterns can bring at the cost of tradition. HATE the black uni’s too.

  7. Fort Greene Met Fan Says:

Can’t say I’m really feeling these videos—-now that there are actual games to discuss, let’s hear about them!

Considering my expectations for the season, I’m pretty happy. Like the addition of Buck, who seems to bring leadership, esp to the young rotation. The thing I’d like to see this team learn is consistency. If they can figure that out this season, I think we will be set up well for next.

  8. AJW Says:

This just in, a relative of Bernie Madoff has just sold the Wilpon’s the pyramids in Egypt.

  9. John in Athens Says:

Well, geesh. I didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings.

It’s a good concept and the talent is there, but the material needs work.

But, I mean, we’re five games into the 2013 season and you give us a minute and a half “Sid Fernandez is fat” joke?

    Come on.

You should hold up a copy of today’s newspaper after a joke like that just to prove that you are filming in this decade!

  10. foxster Says:

re Sunday’s Game, come from behind, walk off wins, have to be the most exciting type of victory. the irony is Marlon (Bird) did in the Marlins. how fishy is that? LETS GO MARLON

  11. FL Met Fan Rich Says:

Still trying to figure out why in the heck they did not walk Marlon Byrd to load the bases, set up a force out or double play

Why is Juan Pierre still in the game in the 9th inning when everybody, including my grandmother was taking the extra base on him?….ever here of defensive replacement.

Thanks for the gift fish….nice managing!

  12. A Phanatic Says:

When do pitchers and catchers report again?

  13. the dude formerly known as bill l. Says:

I’m not sure the Phillies pitchers are showing up at all this season, Phan.

  14. Fort Greene Met Fan Says:

    Harvey can pitch—this is promising.

Any of you locals interested in going to one of the 7 Line’s meetups? They did something at a bar in midtown tonight but I couldn’t make it.

  15. John in Athens Says:

Maybe if none of us gets our hopes up, this team will forget to break our hearts after the All-Star break!

  16. the dude formerly known as bill l. Says:

    John Buck for MVP!

  17. Metfan88 Says:

I mean, really, mets really only have 2 starting P in rotation, Gee is really a 5th or 6th P, his margin of error is very slim simply caused he doesn’t have the stuff as Harvey etc, the other 2 spots, are simply automatic L on records! Don’t they have more Pitchers ??????

  18. the dude formerly known as bill l. Says:

88: Marcum, if he’s healthy, will be a solid mid-rotation guy. He’s pitched to a decent WHIP and an era between 3.3 and 3.7 every year since 2008. Maybe it’s a big if, but he’s actually a very solid guy for the rotation, if he is healthy, which he hopefully will be. Billingsley starts for LA today, maybe Capuano will be available. Harang is definitely available, if they want him. Gee won’t always be as bad as yesterday, and Hefner will keep you in many games. Meanwhile, we all wait for Wheeler.

  19. A Phanatic Says:

Who is this Duda kid? I wish he’d stop hitting dingers.

  20. Buck Says:

I’d rather be watching Montero, Wheeler and Mejia pitching than Gee, Hefner and whoever right now. I agree that Marcum is serviceable and hopefully he is healthy enough for us to find out soon but Gee and Hefner are an automatic L unless the Mets score 6+ runs each time they pitch. I also think that Harvey and Niese can vie for a Cy Young if they were on a better team this year.

  21. Buck Says:

Also how about my brother John so far!! Go JB!

  22. the dude formerly known as bill l. Says:

buck: you need to get to Vegas and Binghamton then, or get an MiLB.TV subscription. Mejia’s got tendinitis at the moment, so I hope they don’t rush him back either. I feel your pain on the last two starts, but I don’t think that the young guys should be on the mound unless/until they are MLB ready.

  23. Buck Says:

TDFKABL - I hear ya………I’m just saying I’d rather watch the kids develop at this level, and possibly fail than to watch Gee and Hefner fail. I know they are not ready fully and more importantly realize the whole controlling them for an additional year if we wait rationale.

  24. LineswithDoc Says:

    Good Stuff
This guy Heath is classic! I’m new to the site but will definitely be back. Art Shumsky…………classic
