Going, Going…

I won’t jinx us by finishing the above sentence but it sure did feel good to watch the yankees go down 3-0 in their series with Detroit.

Quite frankly I was shocked to see A-Rod benched again in game 3. I know he doesn’t deserve to play but it’s still shocking to see their 30M contract riding the pine.

And to think they have FIVE more years of this, it’s enough to make a Met fan giddy with glee.

Can’t the Yankees just throw A-Rod away, eat the money and sign Trout and Miguel Cabrera?

They will likely try to sign Josh Hamilton tho I suspect NY will be a disaster for a guy who seems to have more off-field issues than A-Rod. But the Post would probably help pay his contract knowing how many stories he would create.

Hopefully Scherzer finishes them off so we don’t have to be concerned anymore. Especially because I suspect Cano is about to get hot after some good ABs vs Verlander and a sharp single off Coke.

Can’t wait for Spring Training! It starts early next year!

The only time of the year that you have hope as a Met fan, unti they step on the field in April and prove you wrong!

I can’t believe that some yank fans are actually spinning their pathetic showing in the ALCS by bringing up the ‘04 Red Sox, talk about chutzpah!

Not me. I grew weary of finding solice in Yankee failure years ago.

How about some Met success instead?

In fact, I have come to admire the Yankess for their dignity and class (excluding their TV and radio announcers…) though I still root against them. Not quite to the point of liking them.

And I’m not quite to the point of hating the Mets and rooting against them, but it’s getting close.

Just wait until they blow $100m on David Wright because they were too dumb to deal him at the deadline merely one year after they made the same mistake with Reyes.
