Duda’s Back!
Where the Hell did those 9 runs come from??? Not to mention 4 in one inning!
I won’t say Lucas Duda was the difference but with a pair of hits and an RBI he certainly chipped in to do his part. It’d be great to finish in 3rd as opposed to last but more importantly I want to see Duda get back in his Big League groove again.
Lucas has never been overly confident in the Bigs so I’d hate to send him into the off season in a fragile mental place. We need his bat to blossom next season. Ownership is already telling us they won’t increase payroll so there will be no big bat coming via free agency therefore it’s imperative Duda picks it up from now till game 162.
Meanwhile Chris Young has really fallen off the cliff lately.

Great to see Duda hitting. Great to see Baxter hit a long ball. Great to see a Mets catcher do something productive at the plate. Great to see the bullpen dominate for nearly six innings and allow the offense enough time to finally score some runs. Great to beat the Phillies in Philly. Great to be 6-1 in that park this season. Great to win three in a row.
Chris Young is the epitome of this season…battled hard and looked good for a while but you knew it couldn’t last but just not enough talent.

Harvey with another hit and another RBI. This kid is a BEAST!

He’s a better bat than Bay.

Note to my mancrush Harvey: Do NOT walk the pitcher unless you are the pitcher that is hitting!

Just saw her JoMama. She is MUCH better looking than Kevin Burkhardt.

“Who are those guys?” Four in a row. Not too shabby. LGM.

I remember when Gooden hit so well they jokingly considering him as a position player for his non-pitching days. Maybe they need to seriously teach Harvey to play OF because the kid can rake.
Lucas is back and hitting the ball, Duda, Duda. Lucas is crushing it over the wall, oh the Duda day.
More great work from the pen.
7-1 in Philly.
If the Mets run the table and finish the season on a 36-game winning streak, they would finish at 93-69. I wonder if that would be good enough to make the postseason. I’d like to find out, so it’s four down and 32 to go!
