It’s really amazing how far the ball travels off of Ike’s bat given how effortless his swing can look…

David Wright is kind of good. Pretty amazing that teams are still pitching to him with men on.

    If nine runs isn’t enough…

A win is a win. Hopefully a streak in this direction follows.

Our pen is automatic for at least a few runs. Even 8 run leads aren’t safe with these bunch of scrubs. Parnell is not the answer.

Nothing like a quick gripe on a subject we’ve all talked about a billion times even after a win.

BJ is right..c’mon enjoy the win..when you gripe after a win it makes you sound like a Yankee fan

Honestly, if I were a Tankee fan, I wouldn’t even pay attention to the team until September.

The win must have shocked BMF so much he couldn’t post today!

BTW, whatever happens the rest of the way, I hope it doesn’t obscure how ridiculous Wright’s season is. As good as he was the first three months, July may end up being his best:

    April: 3 HR, 14 RBI, 1.063 OPS

    May: 2 HR, 16 RBI, 1.000 OPS

    June: 4 HR, 20 RBI, .989 OPS

    July: 5 HR, 15 RBI, 1.105 OPS

He already has an oWAR of 4.6, which is the same as he had for all of 2006, and is well on pace to surpass the 7.0 he had in 2007 that would have won him an MVP were it not for the Mets disastrous pitching staff. (And it still probably should have.)

JoMama, that dovetails with what a lot of us have said, that those telling Parnell what to do are a big part of the problem. He has the tools, they need to get him to use them properly.

Isn’t that what Warthen is for? And how many blown saves before they figure it out?
