Rooting for Beato to Save the Mets

It may sound sorta ludicrous but I swear a kid like Pedro Beato just might be able to save the Mets this year even if ownership collapses around him.

Of course, BMF is gonna root for a kid from Brooklyn but Beato has all the ingredients needed to be a child of destiny for us.

Born on the day the Mets last won the WS in ‘86, Pedro was a standout at Xavarian in Brooklyn which led to his favorite team drafting him…

But then in typical Met fashion they refused to pay over slot to sign the kid so he was lost to BAL in the following years draft.

Now suddenly he’s back as a rule 5 player which means we have to keep him on the roster all year or he goes back to Baltimore.

Look we need some cheap labor this year and a kid who can start or relieve and plays for league minimum might be the answer.

Now consider the fact that he’ll sell seats and will generate tons of great press all summer and BMF thinks we should keep this kid for the intangibles alone.

Why not, what have we got to lose?

Aside from Pedro Beato for the SECOND TIME!

Jon Niese was born that very same day. So, we already had those intangibles. Now, we got a DOUBLE WHAMMY!! Let’s see if it’s enough to flip over the Philthies!

It was 78 and sunny in PSL today what a perfect day for the workous!..What a great 2nd day of Spring Training!

Fans all around he 7 field complex. The hope is that with no expectations and pressure is that the team will do well, but when reality sets in the majority of the fans in PSL are expecting 4th place and around .500 because of the pitching uncertainty.

How about Jason Isringhausen for the SECOND TIME also!!

Chatted with Dave Racaniello, #54 (bullpen Catcher) from my hometown of Stamford, CT today before workouts….How great a job is that?

He might be busy this year!

I’m all for a Brooklyn boy from my Alma Mater saving the Mets. I doubt it will happen, but I can hope. Hope springs eternal right now, doesn’t it?

According to Newsday, Tim Teufel is being sued for $1.23 million in claw back lawsuit filed by the Bernie Madoff trustee, Irving Picard.

When is this crap going to end????…How much more can we take?

Just hoping for the City of Ricmond, call upon the Nats and have them make their stadium the home field for the Nats AAA CLUB. Since the Braves booked out of there some years ago. This would put the Mets and Jays in a position to switch AAA affiliates and put the Mets in the ‘Cuse and the Jays in Buffa-Ronto.

Only a few weeks to re-live Game 6 in Ft. Myers……Let’s Go Mets!
