RA seems a little too hyped up at the moment in the 3rd inning.. Seems slighly off his game.

  2. Howard Says:

Well, I didnt see that homerun coming… But I am sick and tired of Swisher acting like a clown for 20 minutes after home runs. Someone needs to take the smile off of his face.

  3. ProfessorReyes Says:

This whole bunch of announcers know their yankees real well, but they know f-all about the Mets. Except what they’ve read. Shameful.

  4. Irish Mike Says:

Prof - was just thinking the same thing. I can’t blame Francona - his life revolved around studying the Yankees. But the other guys appear to have studied up on RA and nothing else. On the other hand I was pleasantly surprised by the Fox guys yesterday - they seemed to have the pulse of the team down reasonably well.

Yes, I think you could make a great drinking game out of it. Every time the announcers make an inaccurate, uninformed statement about the Mets, you get to take a drink. I think I might start that right now, cos if I’d started in the first inning, I’d be on the floor by now.

Gotta love this club! Bunch of kids giving the Yanks a run for their money.

Effin Collins didn’t learn from yesterday and let Cano blast a monster HR off Batista…unreal…can’t anybody here manage this game?

  8. the dude formerly known as bill l. Says:

I’ll give Collins a pass there. batista struck out the lefty granderson in the previous inning, after all. mets need a 2nd lefty in the pen, if they’re going to be able to do such extensive matching.

  9. BlondiesJake Says:

Sorry tdfkabl, he doesn’t get a pass today (and didn’t deserve one yesterday). This time, it was Cano and then two switch hitters and then Ibanez. The time to use Byrdak was right then and he didn’t. If they get out of that inning, it’s the bottom of the order coming up in the 9th for the Yankees, total advantage Mets.

I agree about yesterday, and I see your point about today. Bummer to lose this game.

  11. Howard Says:

Are we going to wait until we are out of the playoff race before we improve the bullpen???

Bring up Mejia, make some trade, freakin something. We are statistically have the worst relief in baseball, and it is killing us.

  12. Irish Mike Says:

Yes the Mets bullpen stinks but the bullpen didn’t lose the game tonight even if that’s where the ‘L’ was assigned.

  13. foxster Says:

RA is human like us all. you can’t expect a shutout or even a win every time out. the law of averages will catch up on you sooner or later.

  14. BlondiesJake Says:

We all should’ve expected TC to collapse worse than his bullpen since BMF trotted out the campaign for Manager of the Year this week!

  15. BlondiesJake Says:

foxster, since you brought it up twice, I’d like to point out the law of averages doesn’t apply to a baseball pitcher winning or losing or pitching well.
