Thank You NY Mets! Thank You for not only beating the yankees but kicking the crap out of Andy Pettitte by sending 10 men to the dish and plating 5 runs in the first.

I’m SO FREAKIN’ SICK of Pettitte already I wish he would just go away and stay away one and for all. Hopefully this is the last we ever see him.

But the greatest moment of the night was clearly Ike Davis’ Alley Oop to Swisher who completed the play by tipping it over the wall for a 3 run HR.

See what happens when there’s a real RF to deal with yankees? Apparently thats more OF territory than Swisher is used to covering since that ball is long gone in the BX. Meanwhile I disagreed with the SNY… Er PIX booth, that wasn’t a HR until Swisher helped it over.

Frank Franc looked like he was about to go Benitez in the 9th and I was starting to regret supporting his “Yankees are Chickens” comment but after a mound visit from Warthen he settled down and closed the door.

Here’s the thing Frankie 2-times isn’t going to give you 1-2-3 innings. Neither was Frankie Rodriguez.  And to the best of my recollection Johnny Franco needed guys on base to dial it in also (Maybe it’s a Frank thing). But all that really matters is winning the game and after last nite Frank Franc has 18 saves to his name… Which is A LOT.

Ok so we got one, now lets clinch a series win.

Yesterday’s win also clinches a winning record in interleague play. A minor accomplishment, but still a good one.

That was Great! Was watching the game with 2 Skank friends and they basically were sitting on their hands for most of the game.

Why does he have to put the tying runs on base all the time?

    1 down….2 to go!

Last night was perfect…I saw the first inning, went out for a nice steak dinner and came home in time for the ninth. It wasn’t easy but it never is with FF or any Mets closer for that matter.

The next two days will finish off the 25-game gauntlet against winning teams. The Mets are now 12-11 during that span and still right in contention. Ike is starting to hit and the rotation has been better than expected. And the bullpen has chipped in lately as well.

I’m way too excited but I can’t help it. I fully expect Lucy to pull the football away at the last minute but I don’t care. I’ll gladly accept the potential heartache if it means I’ve had a reason to get my heart broken by the Mets…again.

I think Frank Franc forgot the english word for comadreja (weasel) and said chickens instead.

I’m pissed that even with the absurd costs of MLB Extra Innings, I don’t get to watch tonights game. And tomorrow, I’ll be on a flight to one of the biggest dumps in the country in Columbus, OH so I won’t get to see the Dickey/CC matchup. LETS GO METS!

A win tonight brings us back up to our highest watermark of 8 games over .500 for the season. A win tonight also gives us a great chance of sweeping the Yankees with Dickey on the mound Sunday night. If Niese can continue to pitch like he did on Friday, we have a great chance to maybe even catch the Nationals.

Big game tonight.. Lets Go Mets!!!
