Whatcha Made of Mets?

It’s time to see what these Mets really got.

Subway Series part deux is upon us. The yankees are coming to Queens for what should be a more fair fight. I hate that girly RF porch in the BX. I know we’re both playing on the same field but that porch definitely messes with visiting players swings.

Regardless, all of these sweeps we’re throwing down on the AL East are going to be a waste if we can’t win a series, let alone a game from the Evil Empire.

I would LOVE to see us win the series. I can’t imagine we sweep ‘em and I’m already praying we don’t get swept…

I think the Mets will be okay this weekend. Yes, the Yankees swept them in the Bronx, but a play here and a pitch there, and the Mets easily could have won the 2nd and 3rd games of the series. It’s not like the Mets got blown out in all three games in the Bronx.

If anyone is going to sweep, it will be the Mets because I do not see Dickey getting beat. I like our chances in this series, if no other reason than the fact that there is no right field fence like 200 feet from homeplate with a jetstream going out.

I am wondering if TC is starting to think about the second base position and giving time to other guys in a process to possibly replace Murph. We all like him but Murphy cannot be a every day player if he is going to show no power, very mediocre OBP with an average glove.

I am shooting for winning 2 of 3 and maintaining our position in the standings. We should be getting Tejada back soon and some reinforcement in the pen (Mejia, etc)

Let’s see Jon Niese have a big outing tonight.

    Let’s Go Mets!!!

I think I am going to go after all my Skank fan friends and bet them that we will take 2 of 3 from them this weekend!

Let’s give it back to them this weekend!

talented lefty versus old pitcher? I could see the Mets taking that one.

Nova stinks, so Saturday is definitely winnable.

    Sunday is Dickey.

It sure would be nice to at least take a game or two. But I confess I’ll be shocked if the Mets win the series and I’ll probably pass out if they sweep. Even worse, I have this sick feeling the yankees will be the first to truly solve Dickey (the Braves had the benefit of the rain).

May the Force be with R A. on Sunday Night!

I, too, have this sinking suspicion that, of all teams, the Spanks figure out the mystery that is behind Dickey’s knuckleball and the season unravels from there. Would make a terrible movie but that’s how it is playing in NY. LETS GO METS!

  8. CowCrusher Says:

Not if he uses those Jedi Mind Tricks on the Skanks….:)

I think it’s totally possible to take 2 of 3. A sweep would be great and would shut up a lot of yankee fans, but winning the series is all I ask.

    Lets Go Mets Go!
