I saw Bay hit a long HR about three hours ago. What I’ve seen in the last few minutes is bad relief pitching and a colossally stupid play by Quintanilla. And thank goodness a win in the end.
I’m dreaming of Ike hitting like the stud he started to become and, gasp, Bay hitting like a decent major league outfielder and this lineup being a serious threat, especially if Reyes, er, Tejada ever returns from his hamstring problem. Depending on pitcher, the card might look like this:
Nieuwenhuis
Tejada
Wright
Duda
Ike
Bay
Murphy
Thole
Pitcher
It’s not murderer’s row but it is a formidable and productive lineup, assuming of course Ike has really returned to form and Bay has returned from the dead. Big assumptions, but hey, I’m an optimistic Mets fan these days.

I don’t know what you just saw, but I just tuned in to see the bases loaded up with Jays and FF in deep too-doo.

SWEEP!
Funny, even the skank fans were rooting for the Mets, for the last three games.
