We would’ve saved a lot of aggravation had we simply just not showed up to fri nites game and taken the default 9-0 loss. Instead the @%#€! Yankees pounded Santana and embarrassed our offense. 

Normally I think our youngsters are intimidated by Yankee Stadium but this year felt different. As if our scrappy gang of Mets wouldn’t be phased by the BX. I guess I was wrong. 

Santana you can chalk up to exhaustion from the 134 pitch outing or being off his routine with the extra rest Collins gave him but the bats were SILENCED by Kuroda and the pen. 

Thanks to Lucas Duda we were spared being shut out when he drove in a 9th inning run but I was hoping to see him deposit at least 1 over that joke of a porch in right.

Oh well let’s concentrate now on not getting swept…

Meanwhile is it just me or does Derek Jeter always commit an error when playing the Mets?!?
