Right… I forgot that is smart to let a guy who hasn’t thrown more than 108 pitches since having his shoulder reconstructed throw 134. That’s the third most pitches ever thrown by a pitcher in a no-hitter.
How sweet it is! Hey, IM, you were in the house, right? We’ll expect a full report. How bout any other BMF’ers? Anybody else a witness to history? How great was that? Fantastic! I’ll be smiling for a week. For those of us like me who have been watching Mets baseball for many decades, this is really something to savor. And how classy a guy is Johan Santana? Couldn’t happen to a better guy. LC, couldn’t disagree with you more. Who pulls a guy in the midst of a no-hitter?
BTW, is anyone else amazed at the difference in national reaction to the blown call in this game that allowed a no-hitter, and Jim Joyce’s, which prevented one?
Also, for all the crap the Mets training staff, perhaps justifiably, takes, it is probably only fair at this point to give them a little credit for the work they have done rehabbing Johan (and hopefully Chris Young) from what is still considered a career-threatening injury.
Anyone else notice the XXX screw up by SNY…they decided to interview RAD next to the showers and there was a few naked asses walking around behind RAD’s head. I was pretty sure there was some junk on camera too…but I wasn’t going to watch that closely.
Johan made me cry
THANK YOU Johan!!
Every year he’s been showing this team how to play with balls….. I think this year these guys are right there with him. I hope to god Baxter is okay.

I like Terry Collins, but his decision to leave Santana in is foolish and hypocritical.

I hope everyone is enjoying Johan’s last start of the season…

I’m willing to bet Johan would’ve refused to come out. I’m thrilled the Mets finally have a no-no and I hope he’s fine going forward.
