Old-Skool Twin Bill
It’s a good old fashioned 2 for the price of 1 double header today at New Shea
Weird how this randomly happened when the Giants were scheduled for one of those strange wrap-around Fri-Mon series …

To bad it takes a rainout to give the fans a break and see a “Old Time Double Header”
How about you actually schedule one or two in the year against the crappy teams or teams that nobody is going to come see anyway?
Baseball keeps saying it is a game of tradition, so why not show it to people who have actually never experienced a double header? Schedule one, who knows you might get your only sell out of the year!

It was really a shame what the Mets did to the fans yesterday by waiting so long to announce the rainout.
Why didn’t they at least open up the gates for the fans who were waiting in line because it was bobblehead day?
There was no chance that game was going to be played!
Who makes the call on rain outs? That was rally porr judgement!
Way to stick it to the fans again!

The visiting team has a say in calling for a rain out. Can’t blame this all on the Mets. I’m pissed b/c I got tixx for that game specifically for the Seaver bobble head, since I work Mon - Sat I can’t get to the makeup game this afternoon which sux because I really wanted to see Lincicum. And due to my Saturday schedule, I can’t get to the make up for the bobble head giveaway. The Mets should have at least come out out and given everyone who waited in line for an hour or more their bobble heads. Bad calls by both teams.

The game was cancelled at around 11:30am. The bigger question for me is……Who in their right mind would leave their house on a day that was pouring raining all day and calling for more rain later in the day in the infintisimal chance that somehow the Mets would play a baseball game? I think those fans who the Mets ’stuck’ it to probably didn’t even notice that it was raining because they obviously have the mental capacity of a yankees fan!!

Simply stating that the game was obviously going to be postponed. Sorry if I offended you Met Maven.

It wasn’t raining all that hard when I got there. It was a light drizzle at best. Didn’t need an umbrella or a hood.
