Congrats/Condolences to Big Pelf Met Ace

Terry Collins made his first move as Met skipper by announcing Mike Pelfrey Opening Day starter.

I’m psyched for The Pelf to receive the title of staff Ace. It’s a fantastic honor but it can be a double edged sword as now he’s gonna have to square off against every other team’s top gun.

Specifically Josh Johnson and Halladay in his first 2 starts. Of course there’s always a chance for weather to tinker with the match-ups but the Phils have 4 aces so it doesn’t matter.

Is it just me or do aces seem to face aces more throughout the season than you’d expect? With all the rain outs and early season snow days you’d think the rotations would be juggled way off kilter right?

But they always seem to get back on track don’t they? Maybe it’s just winter and I don’t remember anymore lol.

Either way Pelf is gonna have to step up his game if he wants to exceed last year’s 15 wins.

With the year we’re facing, I’ll take 15 wins from Mikey Boy, and maybe one or two extra given to him by God, the Greatest Comedian/Baseball Fan of all.

And before we annoint the Phillies staff as competely perfect and untouchable, let’s remember they did lose some games, eh?

Oh, and no-hitting the Reds in the 1st round of the playoffs got them what? No-hitting the Reds in the 1st round of the playoffs. Period.

    Let’s Go Mets!

    Scoot Hairston now!

Looks like we are going to have to call “Exterme Makeover” and have them add on an addition to the dugout for all the people we are signing for Spring Training!

We might have somebody wearing 100 as a uniform number or 3 1/8 or something!
