Ronny Cedeno is Here to Save the Day

Or something like that. I guess Cedeno suddenly leaps to the top of the free agent aquisitions this winter. I mean, at one point he was a pretty highly regarded prospect.

The thing is BMF isn’t impressed by all glove/ no hit SS’s. Ever since Rey Ordonez was patrolling the left side if the IF I just can’t get worked up about these all defense guys.

This sentiment spiked exponentially after years of watching Reyes.

At least we’re inching closer to spring trainig… ever so closer…

It’s surprising at how unimpressive this guy is.

He has no bat and while he’s a decent glove, his D does not make up for his weak hitting.

What is scary is, Cedeno will probably be our starting SS come the trade deadline once Wright and/or Murphy is traded and Tejada is moved over to 2nd…

Went to PSL for Mets Spring Training ticket sales today. About 300 people there. Fist fan got there about 10 PM last night.

There were alot of Skanks fans there also as METS play yanks this year for first time in 15 years. Game sold out in about 30 minutes.

Wally Blackman and Tim Tufuel stopped by.

I was thinking about going to Tampa to see the Mets play the Skankees….but do I really want to drive 3 hrs from Ft. Myers to see a bunch of bandwagon riding snowbirds in “South Bronx South”?
Hopefully they will beat the Evil Empire back to back..even though most of the big names won’t be there….jeter will be busy setting up a slew of “gift baskets” for all of his upcoming paramours next season.

CowVeusher-I am going to both Mets/Skanks games this year. I got tix in PSL today and also have tix for Tampa game!

Well, I would have to fly into or out of Tampa….can’t go to Florida without seeing the folks in Ft. Myers. Are they sold out in Tampa?….somehow I get a feeling tthat they would be.
Of course, it would be funny if all those so called Spanks “fans” got priced out for tix due to the economy. :-D

Mets sign Cesar Cedeno ??!! Wow! he could be a 30-30 guy!! .. In 1972!! … Cleon Jones can bat 3rd .. Staub 5th…wow!

oh wait .. sorry .. remembering the past … when I heard about the guy we signed to replace Jose Reyes…something snapped..

Watched a lot of Cedeno last season when he was with the Pirates. Just like all of the other hispanic SS’s. Lugo, Orlando Cabrera, Renteria, Felipe Lopez.
