Flushing, We Have a Pulse
BIG comeback by the NY Mets! Down 6-1 in the 8th the boys came allllll the way back scoring 1 in the 8th and SIX in the 9th.
In case you thought these guys were already on Winter Vaca you were wrong. I’ll admit to being guilty of exactly that thought myself but TC’s troops refused to quit and at least we’ve got that.
The more he hits the higher his avg creeps up. Tejada is now hitting .280 after delivering a game tying 2 run double in the 9th.
Can’t wait to see him and Jose atop the order and manning the middle IF this year.
Speaking of next year, what are the odds Duda is ready for spring training? This is a classic moment the Mets will somehow butcher. Dudaeaves with dizziness and possible concussion. Duda is never heard from again.
Wouldn’t shock me. Let’s just hope Ike is ready by spring too!

I keep waiting for Ike Davis to return…followed by Pedro and El Duque. Oh wait-Omar is gone..

Wow BIG comeback!…I have to admit that I also packed it in and was starting to think they would never win again!
Maybe we can give the Phillies a run, now that they are in “Cruise Control”, like the Nats did.
It would be nice to end the season with a “Win streak at HOME” and take back of homefield advantage…..Need to reverse that home record!
Lastly, not that it means much, but I would like to finish ahead of the Stinking Dead Fish!
Loved that Rays scored to TDs on Skanks!

I think it was great the way the team rallied late even though they have nothing to play for but pride and jobs.
Glad to see Tejada thriving in the two-hole. I don’t want Reyes to go but Tejada could be a serviceable replacement as a solid fielder and acceptable hitter, especially since SS isn’t typically a star hitter spot, tho it would leave the Mets without a leadoff man.
Nice that Parnell came in and locked down the save 1-2-3. Despite the bullpen troubles, there are live arms that have potential. If the Mets had starters that consistently pitched into the 6th and 7th innings, who knows how the youngsters might perform.
I’m hoping Duda and Ike are ready for next season. I’m also hoping the Mets take a run at some FA pitchers on short term deals, especially if Reyes goes elsewhere, to give the team a legit chance to compete.
LET’S GO METS!
THE KIDS ARE ALRIGHT!
TAKE THAT LARUSSA YOU POMPOUS ASS!

I don’t want to think ahead about Duda, too scary!
Pridie’s game-ending catch was a beauty, also want to give props to Baxter, he made a beautiful last-minute adjustment before that dive and slide.
It seems like just a scrimmage tonight, weird.

BJ - on LaRussa we are in total agreement, for once. Watching him nervously pace in the dugout & losing to the Mets is priceless.
Tejada has really developed since last year.
In the meantime, what the heck has gotten into our 3B????
