It’s Official - Mets are Losers

We’ve all known it’s coming for awhile. Some of us resigned ourselves earlier than others - lol - but the day is finally here. With last nite’s loss the Mets clinched their latest losing season. Feels like 10 years since we’ve been competitive.

Meanwhile Lucas Dida left the game with dizziness after running into OF wall. My first reaction was: I hope he’ll be ready for Opening Day next year.

Dizziness, concussion-like symptoms. I guess this makes him officially a Met. One cheery note, it’s starting to become evident that these Mets won’t have to run quite so far to concuss themselves at home starting next year :)

Lucas his the wall so hard he changed his last name to Dida? :)

Losers?…..It ain’t over till its over!!!….We are still in it!… We still have a 2 1/2 game lead in the “Battle of the Basement!”

Oh the drama…Im hanging on every pitch!….That would make this season just perfect!

    a “perfect season” so fgar

the Mets, losers again! while both the Phillies and the DamnYankees have clinched their divisions. are we once more headed for a World Series match up between the Phils and Yanks?

oh well. there are still the league playoffs, maybe another Met Fan’s nightmare can be averted.

Yet another disappointing year. Seriously….since 2007 following the Mets has not been even close to fun. Let Jose go….and please….trade Mr. Strike Out in the Middle of the Order, D Wright. I love the guy and love his work ethic…but he strikes out too much in key spots.

Yep, I almost wish they would finish out the season with away games so at least they would get to play in front of people, maybe even one person who’s never seen them play (respect to DiMaggio). I shudder to think what it will look like back in NY. Will security go around recruiting seat fillers?

I don’t know, SanFran, maybe you haven’t been able to watch as many games, but I’d say I enjoyed watching many, even most games, for most of the season. But now I barely put the effort into watching, and if I’m not curious about some really tall guy on the mound, I might only check in during commercials on the channel that I am watching.

I’m thinking of going for those Mets headphones…

It’s funny…..I have dizziness/concussion like symptoms whenever the Mets send in the bullpen…………..!

If it does come down to the philthies and skanks in the WS, I’d rather have the skanks win. They already have so many championships, one more isn’t going to matter. It would be like if Bill Gates won a million dollar lottery. What difference does it make? If the philthies win, it’ll be worse for the Mets b/c we have to deal with their fans (who have gotten worse than skanks fans) 19 or so times next season. Skanks would be the lesser of two evils. Never thought I’d say that.

I’d have to say, i was really impressed with Chris Schwinden last night. His final numbers don’t reflect the effort…Chris battled through some pretty spotty defensive and some bloop hits, but can up big when he needed it most …just the opposite of another pitcher on this staff.

I don’t know what Schwinden will be in the future…but it’s that type of attitude and effort you love to see…

maybe he could be the closer next year…

WHEW. Supposedly the Red Sox bid for Capuano is dead.

  13. BlondiesJake Says:

PR, what are you talking about?

  14. Met_Maven Says:

PR I heard that as well. I wonder, If they did take him, who would have started in his place?

  15. BlondiesJake Says:

What would’ve been so bad about Capuano getting dealt?
