FMFR: are you checking out the lineup they are fielding? It’s not even a AAA team out there. just because they are losing, doesn’t mean they are mailing it in.
A week ago I was optimistic that the Mets could end the season at .500 Now I’ll be happy with 75 wins. I wonder what got into Wright that hes made so many errors this homestand. I don’t foresee a comeback today and having 3 against the braves in Atlanta doesn’t guarantee any Ws either. I knew the team wasn’t good, but I don’t think anyone predicted them losing 2 of 3 from the Cubbies and getting swept by the Nats. Good grief!
That means not one, but two mediocre players making a boat load of $$ who we probably can’t do anything with. What is DW’s trade value, I mean who is going near this guy??? 7 Es in 9 games??
The question now is, will he or won’t he change his batting stance for the umpteenth time?

The battle for the basement is alive!
Swept at home by the Nats….Geeze….that’s lower than an ameba’s stomach!!!!….

Sorry losing four in a row to the Nats is disgraceful……I don’t care if they are fielding. A little league team!
Is anybody still in the park?….I mean fans!

After August, there is no more baseball to play for the Mets, they just collect a big fat check and go home.

GOING THRU THE MOTIONS Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz…..
Jason Bay and David Wright’s #s are converging. I bet they meet in the middle before the curtain closes on the 2011 season.
Bay - .246BA 12HR 56RBIs 103Ks

Thank goodness the season is ending and I won’t feel compelled to read anything BrooklynBill writes.

Oh BJ I’ve been trying to be on my best behavior. Well now you’ve done it.
Just thought I’d let you know that 1 RBI separates Angel Pagan from Jason Bay and about 15MM separates Jason Bay from Angel Pagan.

The organization again is just a gosh darn disgrace. It is humiliating rooting for them year after year.

BB, knock yourself out. After all, none of us had any idea Bay wasn’t having an All-Star caliber year and is making lots of money.
