Pagan and Mets Both Puke

Angel Pagan was nowhere to be seen when his turn to bat came up. I guess no one noticed he wasn’t in the on-deck circle while he was in the bathroom with a “stomach virus”. To me that sounds like he was at the toilet puking or more likely on the toilet eliminating from the other end. Same urgency different orifice.

Angel grounded out on the first pitch he was which made me wonder if he was swinging no matter what because he might have an accident in the batter’s box.

If you’re looking for a positive from last nite’s 10-0 ass thrashing in Philly Reuben Tejada is your man. The Kid scampered down the line on a looping foul ball and made the catch crashing into the rolled up tarp while Wright lept on top of the tarp making for a cool visual.

Actually there is more good news - Duda picked up 2 more hits. It’s not even a big deal anymore that Duda picks / base knocks off Cliff Lee when the limits us to 5 hits all night.

But back to Tejada who is still just 21. To me anyone that looks this smooth at that age deserves a chance to develop and show us what he’s got.

We just been b*tched slap folks. Ouch.

Let this be a subtle reminder of how far the gap between us and ‘them’ is.

b*itch slapped that is…I’m still a little dazed and confused from the brutal pummeling.

That was a great game until it started!…. Now that .500 is out of the question, whats next.

Oh joy 5 more weeks of this… can we at least get to the Sept call ups, so we can see some new guys at least.

Don’t look now but our next stop is the basement!

SUDDENLY IT’S 1962, ALL OVER AGAIN!

when the NY Mets came into being, their first season (1962) was a nightmare. luckily i was in the service and serving overseas in 1962 and missed the inaurgral season. some 49 years later, it’s deja vu, all over again.

Please Fox, TBS, ESPN, WGN, MLB, do not put the Mets on TV anymore!….We.have alot of dead wood to get rid of and we do not want the whole country to know how bad we are.

Our fans have suffered long enough and some of us can then find a hobby or get a life!

FMFR, I disagree. I know this team isn’t great even on its best days, but I still enjoy watching Duda and some other youngsters battling out there, especially since I don’t get to see them very often out here in LA.

As soon as we went to the pen and I saw Iggy get up, I knew 6-0 would balloon to 8, 9 or maybe even 10 pretty quickly - thus, I watched Larry David make an ass out of himself once again on “Curb.” This was so much better after seeing the final box score. The Mets are just awful and Bay still pisses me off, the guy just sucks (sorry, I know I said I wouldn’t bring him up again, I just can’t help myself).

JoMama, falling off the Bay Bashing wagon is understandable. The guy is maddening…he has hot streaks and then extended ice streaks. Be thankful he doesn’t have Perez or Castillo’s attitude, which would make watching him even more infuriating.

TC called out the players and David Wright also called out his teammates, saying they can’t just play out the string and be an embarrassment. Let’s hope the team rebounds like they’ve done so many times this year, even though at this point they truly have nothing to play for but jobs (which would seem to be a big incentive but perhaps not for some of them).

Thank god the Giants pre-season game was on last night so I had an alternative to watching the Mets. Although with that game pretty much anything else would have been a good alternative.
