Gotta Love SD

If there’s any place in the majors that I feel good about going to when the Mets aren’t playing well it’s SD.

No offense Padres but you’re almost always inept offense and giant park means we’re gonna be in every game even if we’re not scoring.

But score they did on Wed as Wright blasted a 3 run job and Pagan knocked in 3 en route to a 7-3 final.

But there was defense too - Gee with a pretty behind the back snagging of a 1 hopped, Pridie with a running grab and Wright diving towards the line and faking a throw to first which led to catching Maybin rounding 3rd to end the inning.

I think it’s safe to say the Magic is Back with D Wright.

Gee was a beast again. Granted this was against the Pods but still great to see Gee finding his early season form again.

Pagan is starting to make a push to stay in NY. It’s been such and ugly year for so long but he’s just about back to .260

hey BMF you know thats’s the mets first ever series win at petco? So historically not a good place for the mets anyway, nice to get a series win. Seems like years. Any word on reyes?

It was nice to see Gee pitch well but it was the Padres so I’m hesitant to get too excited, though I did yell when he pulled off the behind-the-back double play.

I was also happy to hear TC planned to use Parnell in a save situation but it didn’t materialize. I know he hasn’t been good his last bunch of outings, but it’s time to find out if he has what it takes.

Nice to see DW homer but this guy really needs to get it going at New Shea this year so he can feel good heading into next year. For the season, he’s hitting .238 with 5 HRs and 15 RBIs in 101 ABs at home. And considering he’s been very good since he returned from the DL but is 8-35 (.229) in Queens during that span isn’t good.

    LET’S GO METS!
    DILLON WAS THRILLIN!
WRIGHT NEEDS TO FEEL RIGHT AT HOME!

Wow it seems like forever since we won a series!…How long has it been?…Oh yeah, the series against the Reds, almost a month ago!

I with BlondiesJake , not real excited because it was the Padres and they suck worse than us!

More interested to see how we do aainst the “Brewcrew” and Philths”

Can we be respected for the rest of the year?

    LETS GO METS!!!

Report says that Mets home attendance has dropped about 8% to (30,891 average) to 14th highest.

Was this expected this year?…Will they be able to keep getting 30K as the seasons drags out?

They are going to start giving away tickets like crazy - if not literally then at a great discount. Two for ones and other such things. But they will still struggle to stay at 30k as the kids go back to school and the team floats in mediocrity.

If you think this news is bad wait until next year. They are going to get crushed on season ticket renewals. Partly because of another mediocre season but mostly because the gig is up on season tickets - there is no reason (for an individual at least) to get them unless you really want to go to all 81 games and sit in the same seats. The overpricing of tickets, the multiple levels of the prices and the uber-available secondary market are rendering season tickets obsolete.

I’m actually surprised they are so low in attendance. I know they haven’t put out the best team, but they’ve dropped ticket prices and have had crazy deals on tickets. Hell, the McFaddens ticket deal of $35 for 1 hr open bar, appetizer, game ticket and post game drink should have attracted a bunch of people.
