Could Pelfrey have thrown a bigger meatball down the middle than the 3-2 pitch to Sanchez? He’s lucky Sanchez only singled up the middle. This has all the makings of the classic Little Mike Meltdown.
That is correct…..If we are capable of playing and beating our division foes, as we are in a survival mode for this season. Is it possible this team will fold up and finish in the basement?
I’m actually impressed the way Pelf just limited the damage in the last inning. Wright threw the ball away and normally Pelf comes unglued but not this time. And yes, I’m grasping at straws!
Chip Hale is working on becoming a 1st ballot Dale Sveum Hall of Fame inductee. Great job sending Reyes to get thrown out easily by 15 feet when the team trails 3-1 and the cleanup hitter, who is already 2-2 on the night, is up next. Brilliant, Chip, brilliant!
I had just finished texting GroteFan how Acosta’s hair reminds me of Nino Espinosa when they started discussing afros and mentioned Garry Maddox, Bake McBride and others!

OK, Pelf, at least you minimized the damage. That’s a step in the right direction. Now the offense needs to pick you up.

FMFR, exactly what will this homestand tell us? We already know this is a .500 team that is unacceptable to you.

Is it possible I was wrong about admitting I was wrong about Bay? Since my mea culpa, Bay has hit and hit with power for a good chunk of games.

I’m so happy I ran out to the store and wasn’t watching and wasn’t in the car to hear the radio call of the GS.

Absolutely pathetic! What a freaking joke. We have both the worst outfield in the major leagues and the worst relief corp.
It looked like Izzy broke his back on the first pitch but TC has absolutely nobody to go to except Parnell who was hiding in the bullpen.
Just terrible. I cannot take more of this s**t.

The good news is the Mets are still almost 6 games back in the loss column.
