Niese too Nice!

If anyone STILL didn’t know John Niese is the m’n MAN - you betta recognize!

Niese stymied baseball’s best team allowing 1ER, 6H, 1BB and 6K’s in 7IP as the Mets walloped the Phils 11-2

Hairston started in right and delivered a 3 hit 5 RBI game.

Sorta surprised to see Beltran get a rest there. If his days are numbered with the Mets you’d think we’d have him out there the second game back from the break… Unless you’re close to a deal …

Niese is probably our most valuable pitcher right now. Young, lefty, 90+ fastball, great curve he can throw for strikes. Whenever he takes the hill, I feel good about our chances of winning.

By the way, did anyone see that over the shoulder catch Pagan made on Ryan Howard the other nite? Forgot all about it, what a play!

I really think Beltran’s days in blue & orange or numbered…

I don’t even know why I still have any sort of hope for this season. But I am still am hoping for a 12 out of 14 streak or something like that with Reyes and Wright coming back soon, which will bring us back to the Braves.

Can Pelphrey give us one big freakin game today? Is that asking too much? This is an absolute must win game today!

Sure…The game they blow out the Phils, I get stuck with the Red Sox vs. Rays.

I am going to break out my “GO BIG PELF” shirt today! Who knows when it just may be the last time.

Lets take the series!!!….LETS GO METS!

The Mets should definitely deal Beltran and they should have plenty of offers, especially if they agree to pay some/all of his remaining salary which would put more teams in the bidding process (as Joel Sherman pointed out in his column). The key is to get some top pitching prospects and he should fetch that.

Wish the Mariners game was as exciting as the blacked out Mets game here in Seattle. Watching it on your phone is just not the same. I saw a pretty good matchup in Felix v. CJ Wilson, wish the M’s could have pulled it out - as it was, Felix imploded in the 7th but was lights out until then.

I think we’ll know which Pelf we have as soon as the 2nd inning. Lets go Mets.
