As much as I would like to see the miracle run to the playoffs, at this point the best thing is for the Mets to get swept by the Phillies and declared out of the race so Alderson doesn’t have to worry about irrational fan outrage when he gets offers he can’t refuse on Beltran and others with value.

We need 2 of 3 this series and we are not facing the aces. We have a very tough 2nd half schedule. The bats need to come to life.
