Congratulations to Reyes for the well-deserved starting spot, I hope he makes it.
Congratulations to Beltran for pulling the reserve spot, I hope it helps him in the long run.

We all knew the offense wouldn’t continue at the amazing pace from the road trip, but did it really have to completely disappear at home against the yankees? Has there ever been a franchise that likes to torture its fan base like the Mets?

OK, Bay, you did a great job in the 9th working the walk against Rivera and coming around to tie the game. Now time to win the game and yourself some fans (maybe even Howard, BrooklynBill and JoMama) in the 10th!

Whew. In every way possible.

I will say one thing… This lineup is ugly without Reyes in it. And take Beltran out of it too and you have something you cannot even look at.
I hope the Wilpons realize this too!

Omg this team has heart!!!! We may not be great but we do have a fighting spirit. I love these guys, and BRAVO to Paulino and Bay and everyone for getting it done!

I was checking out the schedule. To me, the 1 team we need to concentrate on for the WC is the Braves. We are six back in the loss column but if we can play some good ball this week against the floundering Dodgers and the Giants (lets say go 5-2), the Braves have 4 games at home with the Rockies who can be tough and then 3 games on the road against the Phillies. So hopefully we can game a couple of games before the All Star break.

Hopefully I’ll get to enjoy some Mets wins in person this coming week at Chavez Ravine. But without Reyes this offense is going to be a mess.

We didn’t do it by ourselves; we got plenty of help from Jeter’s understudy. Man, imagine walking into Joe’s clubhouse after that outing.
The bottom line is, that’s why they play the games and we did end up on top. Mariano’s reaction to the run-scoring hit was worth the price of admission in and of itself.
On to the Left Coast where we can feature our NY swagger and kick some LA asss.

I hate the Tankees more than I hate Bay. But gotta give credit here. Big CLUTCH hit - 1st time as a Met, I’ll take it anyway. Nice work, you funny Canadian…
