Everything is bigger in Texas, including the egos and the idiocy.

On the game front, if Gee doesn’t get the ball down soon this game will be a rout early.

I’m rooting for Bay but have no clue why the Rangers didn’t walk Beltran to pitch to him with two outs. Thankfully, they didn’t and Beltran made them pay.

Since Texas was once a separate Country til it was annexed by the USA….they deserve to have their egos as large as they are….idiocy aside.:-P

Uh oh, what did I miss, was there a kerfuffle in the stands or something?

BTW, I noticed a few days ago that even Terry Collins has endorsed the use of irregardless.

CowCrusher, half the people in Texas would like to secede from the union and the other half think it involves cutting the land and sailing away!

  6. ProfessorReyes Says:

    Endy!!!!

    oh wait.

Back to .500 again. Mets haven’t been over since 3-2 to start the year. Will this time be the charm?

  8. BrooklynBill Says:

Ha! This is what a first place team in the AL looks like? I’m not impressed….we are in the wrong division, wrong league.

  9. BlondiesJake Says:

Just for statistical interest, this is the 5th time the Mets have reached .500 since they started 3-2. Every previous time they have lost at least the next game if not the next couple. It’s time for a change!

  10. BrooklynBill Says:

Agreed! We gotta get over the hump!!!

Detroit’s tuff @ home but I think we can win a couple…would be sweet if we can get to a few games over before coming home to face the Skanks.

I tend to give Ron Washington a pass since my uncle Tommy got his autograph from him while driving a NY cab a million years ago — but what????

I tend to be more frustrated with the Mets than I possibly should be. A .500 season is what I have expected all along, but a couple of wins here and there and they could be a part of wildcard contention (which I’ll take even though I hate the wildcard as much as I do inter-league play).

Earn those salaries boys and keep giving me a reason to give a crap this year. With any luck I’ll be in Sh*tiField rooting for a playoff-bound Mets team later this summer.
