Mets Slip 2 Under Again

Just when we get a finger nail hold on .500 the Mets immediately drop 2 straight games.

All you’ve been hearing about the Anaheim/California Angels is how much they suck and have no offense.

Gary even mentioned the Halos couldn’t hit one out in BP so when someone finally lost a ball over the wall they ran around the bases in celebration. Man, is our ballpark so infamous it’s spooking teams in the AL West?!?

We may have helped them with an unearned run but they scored more than us winning 4-3.

Angel Pagan was the lone bright spot offensively going 2-4 with 2 RBI, SB. In fact Angel had a game tying RBI hit in consecutive innings.

Capuano wasn’t at his finest but still delivered a quality start allowing just 2ER (3R) in 6IP.

Hey let’s get ‘em tonite.

Murphy’s triple was pretty sweet, too.

Two tough and ugly loses basck to back! How do you not score the tying run with first and third and no one out. To not even put the ball in play?

I guess that what they mean by learning how to win. The better and more expereinced teams find a way to win these type of games.

Its really to bad we lost these last two. All the wild card teams lost last night and a cuple of wins could have at least got us into the thick of things!

I guess I have lost my interest in interleague games as this homestand with the Angels and A’s doesn’t do much for me!

Moving on to the College World Series today!… Heading out to Omaha Tues with stops in Atl, St. Louis and K.C. for games on the way!

I’m with Florida, interleague no longer interests me. This just feels wrong.

I’ve never liked interleague play but at least it seemed to pass quickly. The stupid Yankee games and then a few games against some other random team. But now we are playing 15 straight games against American League teams? When the hell did interleague play start going on for the better part of a month?

I forget who said it on WFAN last night but reffering to the Metsies as the “New York Metropolitans of Flushing” was worth a chuckle! :)

I figured it out…the Mets are doing a year-long impression of Sisyphus, rolling the rock up the hill trying to get above .500 and then having it roll back down before they can get there.

Now if they can get Red Bull to sponsor them. (Better than seeing Jeter pitch Fords on SNY all the time) they will “get wings” :-P
