Pelf is so not an Ace is re-god-damn-dick-u-ass…One game that we really needed someone to step up and take charge…The Big Disappointment rides again.
He’s the one guy on this rotation I trust the least, even with his three or four games that he pitches good. He’s always one pitch away from wetting his pants and having a bad game.
It must be great to travel to Citifield, pay pathetic prices even if you got the tix on the secondary level, pay crazy amounts for drinks and food and see the Mets down 7-0 to a pathetic Pirates team in the second inning.
Pelfrey is much better when the game doesn’t matter at all.
I just read all the posts from this morning, then checked ESPN and saw the Mets rallied from 7-0 down to tie it. This would be an awesome win if they can finish it off.
Pelf had nothing to do with this win. Maybe TC’s rant got into their heads…who knows. All I can say is that I’m happy but considering the Pirates payroll is 1/3 the Mets with near identical records, it’s not like we’re beating a good team.
I should’ve known when the last big rally was because it turns out I was there when they came back from 8-1 down in 2000 to beat the Braves at Shea. I still remember the upper deck shaking when Piazza homered.

The meltdown worked great!….At this rate we will lose 18-0
We will be tied for the basement today!….We are the Pirates (WORSE than) of the East!

Make that 9-7! Are the Mets trying to win or is Pit trying to lose? I can’t tell.

USMF- Mets win 9-7. Lets go METS !!!!! What a wild game- of course Bay had the bases loaded in the eight and DIDN’T produce. What a shocker.

Anybody know the last time the Mets overcame a 7-run deficit to win a game?

I think Gary said it was the biggest comeback since 2000.
We come back for Pelf, we lose it for the workhorses. You’ve got to feel for Dickey right now.

I’ll take it—-I almost threw up when it got to 7-0. Glad I taped the end of the game because I had turned it off!

Wow! what a comeback!! I stopped paying attention when it was 7-0. Awesome win…the 20yr old Tejada is more clutch than the overpaid Bay.
Let’s see if we can carry the momentum into the ATL series now.
oh, and anyone else think Andrew McCutchen would look good in blue & orange??
