Happy Opening Day… Almost
Baseball kicks off it’s 2011 major league season today but not us. We have to wait… until Friday… Friday Nite.
I’m still overjoyed baseball is back and to celebrate I’m posting my favorite new comedic relief clip - an Angry Birds video from an Israeli TV network (who knew the Israeli’s were so funny?!?) If you’ve played Angry Birds this is hilarious…

Whattya doing fri nite as the Mets kickoff 2011? If you’re on the upper west side swing by Blondies on 79th bet B’way and Amstdm.
Unfortunately BMF has family plans in Jersey but I know Coop will be there and prob a few other All-Stars as well. Coop may be in dining room but if you’re in the bar and yell “Where’s BMF” 3x LOUD you’ll prob have a drinking buddy or 2 in pretty short order - lol
Quick Hits:
• If Dish Network is really about to drop SNY due to a carriage fees dispute why would they wait until this late to announce it? Or maybe this is just the first I’ve heard?
• Wow what a dis for Castillo to get cut from the Phils. I wonder if this is the end of the road for Luis

Will be heading down to south FL with Florida Met Fan Rich for the opener. Saw the last 2 grapefruit wins over the Nats & Marlins.
I like he lineup and am not bothered by the absense of JBay. What does concern me though is CB. Although he seemed to be swinging well he was very tentative in the field. I firmly believe that we’re going to be in the race (for first, not last) for quite awhile. Will hold my comments on the pitcjhing for now but I did like what I saw these past 2 days in sunny FL.
But I will say this…LET’S GO METS !!!!!

I figured we’d want a table to at least eat at prior to and during the game (I saw your note Irish Mike!). We’ll be at the bar eventually I’m sure. It will be great to see everyone! Even Phanatic! :p

You guys are freakin’ killing me with all these cool plans… there but for the grace of a bad first marriage (and tons of dollars shot to hell) go I. I’ll hoist a few beers northward anyway.
At least let the Mets win Friday nite, and the Phils drop their 1st game so I can go in to work Sat. nite with some ammo against this sea of Philly Phanatics down here.
Let’s Go Mets!!

Yeah…had to sit on and talk with a guy from India for 20 mins to get my MLB Audio working. Of course it just started working on it’s own after keeping me on hold for 10 mins.
Wright, Reyes, Emaus, Ike, Angel and Thole are hitting really well. Neise, Young and Capuano look healthy and pitching well. Dickey and Pelf should be fine. Beltran looks like he’s gonna hit and at least make it on the filed to start. Bay’s injury is minor. And the Bench looks solid. KRod and the Pen look good…(although I haven’t been impressed with D.J. Carrasco, but you gotta love his socks)
Not sure if they can stay healthy enough to compete in the NL East…but these guys should be entertaining and easier to root for.

Heading to Sun Life Stadium for opening day thanks to the “Schedule Gods” will bring you guys a live report.
More importantly I will proudly be wearing my “GO BIG PELF” for BMF NATION!
LETS GO METS!

Well, I am excited for a new season of NY Mets baseball. I probably am crazy but believe if Beltran can stay reasonably healthy, Wright and Reyes perform to high levels, Ike keeps on improving, and the pitching hangs in there, we can be in contention for a playoff berth.
I can’t wait to see #7 in the batters box tomorrow night to start the season.

Looking forward to a season with minimal expectations - but still hoping to be surprised.
I’m psyched that opening day is over the weekend - I can stay up all night to watch and not worry about work tomorrow!
BMF - that clip is from a very popular Friday Night parody/sketch show called “Eretz Nehederet” (Wonderful Country). Now in it’s 8th season - it is unfortunately, usually not nearly as clever and funny as it was the first few years.

Did you read last weeks posting on this? Looks like they have been removed.
