Word is attendance was down at City Field falling 8.1 percent from 2010 to approx 2.35 million .

Personally I think the Mets are lucky to have 2.35M fans trudge through the turnstiles. 

I can’t imagine how over 2M people would pay to see last year’s team.

Obtw I’m NOT mentioning the yankee romp.

Oh how BMF relishes a yankee playoff loss. 

I swear to God it warms my heart to see the Yankees lose their second game of the ALDS to the Tigers.

I always try to root NL but I gotta say I’d love to see Detroit win it all. The Tigers are such an old skool franchise, the city has gotten it’s ass kicked economically and I’ve always had family in Michigan.

And if they could dispatch the Yankees with ease in the first round it’d be SO FRIGGIN GREAT TO BE AROUND YANKEE FANS!!!!!

It makes perfect sense. Valentine and the Red Sox. Bobby’s got the swagger and smarts to supercharge an already highly charged Sox fanbase.

It’s brilliant really - he would go toe to toe with the Yankees and re-energize that slumping rivalry.

My slurs Sunday ended on a down note with the Jets getting smoked but watching hilights of the Tigers dominating the yanks was a great antidote to an NFL loss

Another post season with the Mets on the sidelines is one thing.

Another October of being subjected to watching the  Yankees and Phillies is just downright evil. 

I know we’re only 1 game into the playoffs but I feel like it’s a foregone conclusion the Mets 2 most hated rivals will once again be squaring off in the World Series.

As for the “controversial” Rollins comments about Reyes - who gives a flyin’ F about that. I’m not sure why he’s so concerned with Jose Reyes when he’s got a chance to win the WS but I don’t think he said anything so bad really.

He said he would’ve played the whole game which if you’re gonna sit down after 1AB you have to be prepared to hear.

Yeah he said Jose was a team player for the first time this season - it came in a back handed compliment but it’s not the most offensive thing to say.

Personally I think Rollins is just insecure about the fact Jose is about to get a significantly bigger contract this off-season.
