In case you missed it Pujols misplayed a relay throw in the 9th inning of game 2 which allowed St Loo’s impending 2-0 series lead to slip away.

But then it got interesting when Albert was a no show for the post-game press conference and was nowhere to be found in the lockeroom either.

I don’t know what it is about this guy but from where I stand - which is VERY FAR away - it seems like he punked out because they lost and he made an error. 

I dunno is it just me or is Pujols less than a stand up ballplayer? 

Larussa made a point to stand up for his slugger by saying “No one (in the media) asked for him”.

Of course that makes no sense but not surprising Larussa would protect his player - I mean this guy stood up for Mark McGuire and said he didn’t do steroids.

Remember the good old days when the Mets participated in the free agent market? 

More often than not our off-season acquisitions would be complete busts once baseball season rolled around but at least it was something to keep us warm over the winter.

Of course names like Reyes, Pujols, and Fielder will be free-agents but there’s another Japanese Gem ready to “post” and test his talent in the Major Leagues. 

Yu Darvish sure sounds great, the 25-year-old was 18-6 in 28 starts with a 1.44 ERA and 276 strikeouts in 232 innings pitched this year, which is obtw his FIFTH straight year with an ERA south of 2.00.

Don’t get me wrong I think the Japanese posting system is the biggest gamble in sports. Plus we never seem to land good Japanese players - my man Shinjo not withstanding.

So while I wouldn’t necessarily recommend sinking a ton of money into Yu Darvish it sure would be fun to at least entertain the thought of him.

Alas it ain’t happening with these Wilponzi owners of ours.

BMF sure ain’t.

I love baseball but I’m having a difficult time engaging with this postseason… At least so far.

I have zero love for Texas so I’m stuck inside party lines rooting for an NL team I don’t really like. 

Meanwhile Lenny Dykstra is facing 4 years in prison after changing his plea from Not Guilty to No Contest regarding the charge of reselling leased high-end cars which were leased on bogus credit.

 Hmmmmmmm, if you were to randomly drug test both who is more likely to come up clean: Lenny Dykstra or Lindsay Lohan?

Our new bench coach is Bob Geren which seems an potentially off choice to BMF. 

I realize you prob can’t put Wally in the dugout as bench coach in NYC because the media would go to him as opposed to TC for post game reaction and quotes but still Geren seems odd to me.

Ex-A’s pitcher Huston Street shared this quote about the ex-A’s skipper, “For me personally, he was my least favorite person I have ever encountered in sports from age 6 to 27. I am very thankful to be in a place where I can trust my manager.”

I dunno. I mean you can’t condemn a guy because 1 other guy has negative things to say but that’s not the best thing to hear about the new bench coach.

Of course I would’ve loved Wally but that’s too much to ask. 

There’s no way to. Know how much $ is about to bs spent or not spent this winter I just hope Bob Geren isn’t our Big Splash!

Sounds like this has been resolved before it became a real issue but the mere thought of moving David off 3rd as a way to get Murphy back to his “natural position” is preposterous.

Murphy isn’t a good defensive player - period. Moving him back to 3rd, a position he has played regularly in YEARS, and expecting him to be even serviceable is a reach.

Luckily the Alderson regime is too savvy to allow this to happen.

I’m just sayin’.
