It’s crazy out there right now - I have no idea what’s about to happen but I believe NYC is hunkered down and ready for what’s coming… at least I hope…

Holy Crap - where did THAT come from?!?
Chris Capuano That has to be the best game of his career not to mention one of the best games a Met has ever thrown.
I would venture to say this is the best game ever thrown at CityField… Right?
*** both weekend games are cancelled due to Irene’s impending arrival ***
Looks like it may losing some steam before it gets here but don’t leave anything to chance. Batton the hatches and secure anything that could bs picked up and thrown by the wind.
There was a time this season BMF was calling Capuano our “Ace”
At the time he was our best arm but that feels like a long time ago
If no one else is gonna do it BMF will be the first to say there should be an asterisk affixed to the record 3 grand slams hit in the BX yesterday.
Granderson’s bomb was a legit HR so I won’t quibble with that but Cano’s shot was a Yankee Coors aided homer. And Martin’s just snuck over a right center wall that was yet to recover from the joke of a porch in right.
So I’ll give the Yankees 1.5 legit slams I’m yesterday’s game.
Maybe I’m sounding old and cranky but these new stadiums built specifically as band boxes to inflate and set new records make me sick.
Looks like we’ve got another contender for a cheap OF’er in 2012 after Nick Evans big 3-4, a HR and 4 RBI.
These days a big game from a young player (not playing 3rd, or short) can instantly earn them a ticket to 2012 dance.
It’s hard to get excited about Nick Evans since he’s been kicking back and forth for years but I’d love to see him push his way into the conversation.
Good for Pelf for earning the win, but it was another just Ok outing for him.
This week I’d say Pagan’s arbitration value is spiking while Pelfrey’s is slipping…
